Minnesota Hunter bags 27-point Buck

November 13, 2008

Lesnar

I’m saddened to report that this is just one more beautiful buck that I won’t be able to shoot. And guys, you’d better step up your game or it’s going to be you staying home with the kids while the women go out hunting. Kelly Gustafson of Welch, Minnesota got this awesome looking 27-point whitetail buck during the state’s 2008 firearms season. Congratulations Kelly!

“The buck’s many tines look like a small oak tree on it’s head. The base of the rack is so thick Gustafson can’t reach her hand around it.” – Chris Niskanen, St. Paul Pioneer Press

Could This Be the Next World Record Typical Whitetail Buck?

October 8, 2008

What you are seeing is a video of possibly the world’s largest typical whitetail buck. Though the critics are still out for deliberation on this one, no one can argue that this is certainly a giant.

Among the viewers was Ted Marum, a former outfitter and whitetail fanatic. “Scott had told me the buck was ‘closer to 220” than it is 200,’ before I saw it,” Marum said. “But after I saw the video, 220 inches is selling him short. He’s way bigger than that.”
